25 years experience in carving stone and creating sculpture for private and public commissions.
Summer 1975 Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, Massachusetts.
1977 BFA in drawing and painting, cum laude, University of North Texas, Denton, Texas.
1982 to 1987 independent carvings and commissions in Pietrasanta, Italy, Studio of Sem Ghelardini.
Specialties:
Hand carved sculpture, architectural elements, fireplaces, cartouches, fountains and columns.
Materials: Texas and Indiana limestone, Italian marbles or other limestone.
Will create site-specific work, original designs or work from photos or architectural plans.
Total design, drafting and AUTOCAD capabilities.
Easy to work with and strive to deliver on time and in budget.
Personal Statement:
I have been creating art all my life. I painted for over 20 years but got tired of stretching canvasses, so I moved into stone. I enjoy the physical end of maneuvering large rock and creating something beautiful out of it. The challenge is figuring out how to do it. After that, the carving is easy. My main attention is to detail and creating apiece that I am pleased with. If I am not happy, you will not be happy.
